Prayer Priorities – February 8, 2022
“Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!”
Isaiah 30v18
We encourage everyone who is praying for UMN not only to raise our requests but to listen to God on UMN’s behalf. Please take time to read this Bible verse slowly to yourself. Pause and ask God to speak through His Word. Then read it slowly again. Settle and calm your mind before you pray.
  • Thanks be to God that the Interim PA (Project Agreement) has been signed by the Minister and is going through the last process. Please continue to pray regarding the three long-term PAs with the Government.
  • In Doti Cluster staff Manisha and Posh have now recovered completely from COVID. Also give thanks that new staff recruitment in partner organisation under CORD project has been completed successfully
  • Pray for Mugu Team as they complete the Partner selection process; and for Doti team as they address an issue with a local Partner.
  • Continue in prayer for healing for Rabbi from ITS. He is waiting for biopsy reports, complete healing of his wound, and decision for Chemotherapy.
  • There has been heavy snowfall in Bajhang and the electricity service is disrupted since last Thursday and Friday. Please pray for the service to resume.
  • Pray for the new project team of Partner DHS in CLIMATES and mental health projects (Bajhang), to build their rapport with the local governments and community groups, and also for the new manager for the mental health project who will soon start her work.
  • Please pray for the safety of our staff who travel to community and work alongside community groups in Bajhang, including for Sanjeev Maharjan who has just arrived in Bajhang with a new office vehicle. Also for the full construction of damaged road at Jalebagar (Bajhang) before coming monsoon so that travel and transportation to Cluster Office in Chainpur is not obstructed.
  • Khem Bhandari transferred from Kapilvastu cluster to Doti cluster this week. Pray for him as he settles in.
  • In Tansen Hospital pray for the launch of the mental health project as we start the field work this month.  We still need to recruit a second psychiatrist.  Despite a couple of enquiries we have had no applications for this post yet.
  • Continue to pray for regular insurance board reimbursement in Tansen and for the final signature from the national rotary for the global grant application in order to start our waste water project.
