Working agreement between UMN and HDCS
Working agreement between UMN and HDCS

For three years UMN has been trying to get government approval for the running of Tansen and Okhaldhunga hospitals to be handed over to Development and Community Services (HDCS). It is quite likely that the government will now not allow this to happen, So, believing it to be in the best interests of the hospitals,UMN has decided not to renew its Working Agreement with Human Development and Community Services (HDCS) that runs till Ashad 2065 (mid-July 2008).

UMN will seek an alternative solution before the end of UMN’s current Strategic Plan ( i.e Asar 2067, mid July 2010) and the current General Agreement with the Government of Nepal.

UMN does not intend to close the two hospitals but wants to see them continue to provide the same level of excellent care as they have done in the past.
