Prayer Priorities – January 17, 2023
“Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.”
Psalm 98:1

We encourage everyone who is praying for UMN not only to raise our requests but to listen to God on UMN’s behalf. Please take time to read this Bible verse slowly to yourself. Pause and ask God to speak through His Word. Then read it slowly again. Settle and calm your mind before you pray.
  • Praise God for the fruitful Hospital Leadership Team meeting held last week in Kathmandu
  • Praise God that the UMN team for new cluster exploration in Madhesh Province has successfully finished its study and submitted the result within the scheduled time.
  • Praise God that Doti Cluster has successfully recruited a new project officer for the ‘Child Oriented Resilient Development’ project.
  • Give thanks to the Lord for the successful monitoring visit of Shiva, Nabin and Niraj to Chunbang, Rukum East, where the team observed farmers utilising knowledge gained from their exposure visits.

  • Expatriate Visa issue has returned; currently four visas are stuck at the Home Ministry. They are now on Tourist visas, which doesn’t allow them to work. It is not just affecting UMN – a few other organisations are facing similar issues too. Please pray that the Social Welfare Council that it would facilitate the process and the officials from the Home Ministry would understand and cooperate in time to resolve the issues.
  • We need to amend one of our Project Agreements which had taken two years to be approved so the situation had changed. Please pray that the preparation and amendment would go smoothly.
