Prayer Priorities – March 29, 2022
“But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you”.
Luke 6:27-28

We encourage everyone who is praying for UMN not only to raise our requests but to listen to God on UMN’s behalf. Please take time to read this Bible verse slowly to yourself. Pause and ask God to speak through His Word. Then read it slowly again. Settle and calm your mind before you pray.

Praise
  • Tansen Hospital: give praise that all expat team members who were outside the country have now returned.
Prayer
  • Pray for the visa/work permit/ medical registration process for our medical expats to be completed quickly. Also that the three Project Agreements currently in progress will soon be resolved. The delays are very disheartening for expats who will have to leave their work if final signing does not happen.

  • In Bajhang, pray for the Mental Health project agreement between UMN’s Medical and Development Trust partner NGO and the Government Social Welfare Council (SWC). UMN MDT is going to implement this project in Bajhang and Kapilvastu and partner NGOs have to make the project agreement (PA) with the government. This is an ongoing need for prayer.

  • In Tansen Hospital pray for wisdom for the management team as we make decisions about how to respond to the late / non reimbursement by the health insurance board.

  • A TV team from Netherlands will arrive in Nepal next week to make a fundraising film about the hospital’s need for expanding the maternity ward. We praise God for this interest and pray that this will result in increased support.

  • We have been asking prayer for the health and protection of our staff – especially Jhabi who is having regular dialysis and Rabbi who is having chemotherapy. Remember also Ruth whose father has been so ill in Scotland.

  • In Rukum East pray for Jiwan Rai as he conducts further Sangsangai training with pastors and leaders to equip their groups to engage in community service.
