UMN hosted and participated in a two-day (2 to 3 Nov) Nepal-Norway NGO conference where Norwegian NGO’s and their Nepalese partners came together to share their experiences and lessons. Against the backdrop of the COVID pandemic and a growing climate crisis, Himal Partner, Normisjon, Plan International Norway and Strømme Foundation organised the seminar to discuss how we can strengthen both inclusion and resilience in the face of acute or slow crisis, with a particular view on food security as both a necessity and an opportunity.

Norwegian ambassador Her Excellency Torun Dramdal and Social Welfare Council Member Secretary Manoj Bhatta had opened the first day of the event and the special speakers for the event were from the Ministry of Health and Policy Research Institute among others.
