In March 2009, four members of the UMN board interviewed candidates for
the post of UMN’s Executive Director. Of all candidates, the members
were particularly impressed by Dr. Mark Galpin’s motivation and clear
sense of call to this particular post and his well-developed and
clearly articulated understanding of Christian approaches to
development and leadership qualities.

It was unanimously agreed that Mark be offered the responsibility – and he gladly accepted it!
