UMN constructs a health desk at Nepal-India border point
As Nepal faces new Omicron fueled Coronavirus surge, UMN’s Cluster office in Nawalparasi along with the local partner INDRENI has assisted Pahlinandan Rural Municipality to set up a COVID health desk at Maheshpur, a Nepal India border/ entry point. The health desk has been conducting fever checks, antigen tests, COVID-19 symptom check and also helpful counselling. More than 50 locals receive antigen tests and more than 120 have come for counselling on omicron risks and symptoms per day.
UMN has financially helped purchase the raw materials to construct the area for the health desk along with the provision of 500 antigen test kits and safety materials.
Well done Nawalparasi Cluster and partner INDRENI for a timely help during this outbreak.
