United Mission Hospital Tansen

Background

Serving since 1954, it is the best known, longest established hospital in Palpa District. The wide range of services include surgery, maternity, dentistry, counselling, and testing and treating patients for TB, HIV and leprosy.
 

Patients, staff and students

Our larger hospital with over 400 staff, 169 beds, and last year (2020-21) nearly 89,000 outpatient visits, over 11,000 inpatient admissions, and over 2,500 deliveries, United Mission Hospital Tansen serves patients from a catchment area of almost one million people. Over 760 visits had their treatment paid by charity or were given credit last year. Over 350 students a year train in medical professions.
