Prayer Priorities – April 12, 2022
“He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.”
Ephesians 2v17-18

We encourage everyone who is praying for UMN not only to raise our requests but to listen to God on UMN’s behalf. Please take time to read this Bible verse slowly to yourself. Pause and ask God to speak through His Word. Then read it slowly again. Settle and calm your mind before you pray.

Praise
  • Praise the Lord for the Mental Health project in Bajhang that is going to be implemented in partnership between UMN MDT and Dalit Help Society (DHS). As per government requirement, DHS registered the proposal with the Social Welfare Coucil last week.

  • Praise God that last week in Tansen Hospital, some money was received from the insurance board.

  • Also in Tansen we celebrate the completion of the 50th batch of SBA (skilled birth attendant) training on Wednesday.
  • The visit of Australian Ambassador, Felicity Volk was successfully completed on 12th April, in Kapilvastu to the project locations of SECURE, CBR, RECOV, Health, and CYCC.  Thank you for your prayers and support. In addition, thank you to all the Kapilvastu colleagues and partner organizations–DSDC and SSDO for your diligent planning and execution that resulted in the successful visit of the Ambassador to Yashodhara and Mayadevi.
Prayer
  • Please pray that the hospital can get assurance of regular reimbursement from the Insurance Board which will remove many concerns about finances.

  • In Bajhang, pray for three capacity building events taking place in Chainpur in the next three weeks for cluster staff and staff and board members of two partner NGOs.

  • Please pray for the Integral Development Team and their plans for a new project called Transforming Family and Community Relationships (TFCR) which will help men, women, families and communities deal with issues of negative attitudes toward women and girls in Church and community.

  • In recent weeks a number of new staff have taken up responsibilities in UMN Teams. Please be prayerful for them and the new challenges they face.

  • Please continue to pray constantly for the project agreements which are still not finalised. The visas of a number of expats depend on these coming through and some of these staff may have to leave the country because these issues are as yet unresolved.
  • UMN and DSDC are conducting a joint monitoring visit of the RECOV project to Yashodhara Municipality on Wednesday, 13th April. Please pray for an effective monitoring visit in RECOV’s project areas.
