Prayer Priorities – August 16, 2022

We encourage everyone who is praying for UMN not only to raise our requests but to listen to God on UMN’s behalf. Please take time to read this Bible verse slowly to yourself. Pause and ask God to speak through His Word. Then read it slowly again. Settle and calm your mind before you pray.
Praise
- In the Okhaldhunga community there is praise for “Showers of blessings†that have been good for the crops. Also for good weather that has been enjoyed by all. Praise God for protection over our staff and patients.
- In Rukum East the third and fourth round of Sangsangai training to facilitators from eight local churches under the SEED project and twelve churches under the ABLE project have been successfully completed.
- External audits for all the projects and cluster accounts of Rukum East cluster and internal audits in Doti have been successfully completed.
- A new disaster project (11 months) for Bajhang Cluster has been approved by the donor. The project starts from mid-August.
- The project staff recruitment for BICT and CLIMATES project in Doti has now been completed successfully. Pray for their tenure and effective implementation of project activities by the partner (RCDC) and new staff.
- Agreements for July to July projects have been signed with local implementing partners in all clusters.
Prayer
- Please pray for Integral Development and Transforming Family Community Relationship (TFCR) orientation to nine churches of Sisne RM under the IDRA and TFCR project in Rukum. Pray for the involvement of Jiwan Rai, Radhika Giri, cluster staff and church members.
- Pray for the Sangasangai third workshop for 8 churches under the IDRA project in Rukum where Jiwan and Suresh will be facilitating, and local churches will be actively involved in community work
- Pray for wisdom and guidance for the ABLE project’s second phase proposal development in Rukum focusing on child rights and protection issues.
- Pray for the internal indicator-based joint project monitoring organised by Bajhang Cluster. That this monitoring goes well and new things will be learned to replicate in future works.
- Please pray for the successful financial external audits of Doti Cluster.
- Pray for the fruitful project induction and orientation to newly recruited project team of BICT and CLIMATES projects in Bogtan and Badikedar in Doti.
- Pray guidance for the recruitment panel members who will be involved in the shortlisting and recruitment of the Project Officer – Child Protection (SCRIP) in Nawalparasi.
- Pray for wisdom to shortlist and recruit staff of disability inclusive development (DID) project and child rights projects at the partner level in Nawalparasi cluster.
- Please pray for the successful completion and active involvement of the participants and facilitators who will be involved in 3 days of non-violent communication (NVC) training.
- In Kapilvastu, a participatory Bottom-Up Project Design starts today on 16 August, concluding on 26 August. Please pray for the design team comprising Jerry, Katherine, Bhagirath, Avinaya from Thapathali as well as cluster colleagues Rup, Melsan, Nabaraj, Sanju and Pragya for their wisdom and diligence for effectively designing a project which will be implemented in Mayadevi Rural Municipality.
- An External Audit is going on in Kapilvastu Cluster from 12 to 20 August 2022. Please pray for the successful completion of the audit.
- Also in Kapilvastu please pray for the effective implementation of the next phase of the SECURE project.
Tansen Hospital
- Please pray for those working in obstetrics: on the wards, in the clinics and in the operating rooms. It is mostly rewarding and happy work, but there are also sad and stressful events that require difficult decisions and compassion when things don’t work out as planned.
- We thank God for Tansen hospital guesthouse – a place for visitors, social events, teaching and relaxing. Pray for the staff as the front line in hospitality for people from all over Nepal and the world.
Okhaldhunga Hospital
- Pray healing over our doctors and hospital staff who are infected with the COVID virus
- Pray for the process to register the hospital for 100 beds.
- Protection for our staff who are travelling to and from Okhaldhunga.
- For new staff who have joined the hospital family.
